Golf courses at Casa de Campo, one of the Dominican Republic’s leading five-star resorts, continue to rack up accolades. To date this year, the resort has made Golf Digest‘s Editor’s Choice 2017 list of the Best Golf Resorts in the Caribbean/Bermuda and its Teeth of the Dog course took the number nine spot on USA Today‘s Readers’ Choice list of the best Caribbean golf courses.
These honors join a long list of awards given to the resort’s Pete Dye courses: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links.
- Holes 7 and 8, Teeth of the Dog
- Guestroom, Pete Dye Golf Lodge
- The Links
- Main Entrance, Casa de Campo

Teeth of the Dog (18 holes/7,471 yards) is a signature Pete Dye course. It is the only course in the Caribbean with seven seaside holes. Golf Magazine has ranked it the #1 golf course in Latin America and #39 in the world. It’s also been named “The Caribbean’s Best Golf Course” by World Golf Awards and been selected as the #1 golf resort in the world by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).
Dye Fore (27 holes/7,740 yards) is a visually-intimidating course with seven cliff-side holes that drop 300 feet to the Chavon River. The course offers 360 degree views of the Caribbean Sea, Dominican mountains (the highest in the Caribbean), Chavón River, Casa de Campo Marina and Altos de Chavón artists’ village. The course was renovated in August 2014 with Paspalum greens. Dye Fore Lagos, which opened September 2011 on the northeast side of Dye Fore, is the latest addition to the course.
The Links (18 holes/6,900 yards) is an authentically links-style course. Situated inland, water comes into play on five holes, while grass roughs and mulitple sand traps keep players on their toes.
The resort of also home to the Casa de Campo Golf Academy.
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It is located in the La Romana region, which is served by three international airports: La Romana International Airport, Punta Cana International Airport and Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo.
