The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) has achieved the highest level of certification from AIPC (International Association of Congress Centres).
The CTCC is the first convention centre in North America to achieve “Gold.” Only one other centre in the world – Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre – has achieved this high rank.
The Quality Standards Program was developed to document a centre’s accomplishments in 10 key areas of convention centre performance: customer service, quality of facilities and operations, employee relations, health, safety, security and emergency response, financial integrity, community relations environmental responsibility, industry relations and supplier relations.
Participating centres submit documentation addressing how they measure success and act on shortcomings in each standards area. An external audit identifies areas of improvement and rates centres according to how well they have acted on these.
