David Spero is now the executive chef at the Calgary Marriott Downtown, the exclusive caterer for the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC).
Prior to joining the CTCC on March 14th, Spero was the executive sous chef at the J.W. Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. His CV also includes tenures at The Peaks Resort and Spa in Telluride, Colorado; the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa in Maui, Hawaii; the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida; and Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando.

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre features 122,000 square feet of dedicated convention space; 47,000 square feet of exhibit space; five pre-function areas; and 36 meeting rooms.
Owned by the City of Calgary and operated by the Calgary Convention Centre Authority, it hosts more than 600 conventions and conferences annually.
It is connected via indoor pedestrian walkways to the Hyatt Regency Calgary, the Fairmont Palliser Calgary and the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel.
