The Canadian Association of Exposition Management (CAEM) and L’Assocation des professionels en exposition du Québec (APEQ) have signed an agreement to co-locate during CAEM’s Annual Conference, being held June 14-16, 2015 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Ottawa-Gatineau.
The collaborative agreement was finalized on February 4, 2015 by Sherry Kirkpatrick, manager of Events Programming & Delivery at Workplace Safety & Prevention Services and CAEM-elected president and Jean-François Ouellet, director of Innovation & Business Development at Destination Sherbrooke and APEQ-elected president.
“I am pleased to sign this co-location agreement on behalf of CAEM’s membership,” said Kirkpatrick. “It will allow our members to gain valuable insights from our colleagues in Québec while increasing networking for all industry professionals across Canada.”
“As a member of both associations, I know first-hand the value of the educational offerings provided by APEQ and CAEM,” said Ouellet. “I am excited for my colleagues to have access to a balance of expostion and events management education and networking with all of our colleagues from across Canada.”
The 2015 CAEM conference theme is “Unleash Your Savoir-Faire.” Simultaneous translation at the conference will be provided through APEQ. The co-location allows members of both associations to gain education and networking opportunities on a national scale.
