VANCOUVER ISLAND, B.C. — Villa Eyrie Resort has been accepted into the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, the first B.C. property, and only the second in Canada, to join the prestigious organization.
“We chose (Villa Eyrie) not only because of its location and scenery, but because of the commitment to service that we found across all departments,” said Larry Mogelonsky, Small Luxury Hotels’ Canadian ambassador.
Members are independently operated hotels that must meet exceptionally high quality standards and undergo a rigorous acceptance program. Villa Eyrie is now part of a network of 520 international properties.
Perched above a mountain summit, the alpine resort has introduced a menu inspired by Pacific West Coast ingredients paired with B.C. wines and local limited-batch spirits.
Also new for 2019 are several automotive packages.
Through a partnership with the Vancouver Island Motorsports Circuit, guests can try their hand at driving high-performance vehicles on a professional track. The property is also developing a package that permits guests to visit a private facility, Coachwerks Restoration, for a tour of the 30,000-square-foot restoration house featuring pre- and post-war European sports and luxury cars.
