Tammy LeBlanc has been appointed general manager of the 571-room Hilton Québec, in Québec City.
A native of Canada, LeBlanc has more than 18 years of hospitality management experience specializing in the areas of revenue management, business development, marketing, renovations and guest services. she will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s day-to-day operations of the AAA Four Diamond hotel, which is Hilton’s flagship property in Québec.
“We are thrilled to have Tammy in this new position, given her profound knowledge and experience in the Canadian hotel market and her proven track record in leadership roles,” said Ted Ratcliff, senior vice-president, operations, Eastern North America, Hilton Worldwide. “Her prior hospitality management experience in key Canadian destinations such as Toronto, Montréal and Saint John, will be beneficial in our ongoing efforts to promote the Hilton Québec as a market leader in its category.”
LeBlanc has held key positions at hotels in the provinces of Ontario, Québec and New Brunswick. Most recently, she served as general manager of the 419-room Hilton Toronto Airport where she significantly improved and increased Team Member Engagement, RPI growth and revenue growth while managing multiple renovation projects totaling close to $7M.
Prior to working at the Hilton Toronto Airport, LeBlanc was general manager of the 197-room Hilton Saint John and oversaw the Saint John Trade and Convention Center, which together, combines 27,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. During her five-year tenure at the Hilton Saint John, she improved revenue, market share and customer satisfaction scores while motivating her team to win the prestigious 2010 Hilton Community Service Award for The Americas and 2009 Sales Team of the Year award. Additionally, she spent two years as Director of Business Development of the 486-room Hilton Montréal Airport.
She and her husband, Stephan, will be relocating to Québec City with their two children, Alexandre and Nicolas.
The Hilton Québec is connected to the Québec City Convention Centre. It is a two-minute walk from Old Québec and near the venues for many major events. The hotel has 571 rooms and suites. The meeting rooms and banquet halls have ample natural lighting and can accommodate over 2,000 people.
