As a passionate young professional in the meetings and events industry, Zaman has been exposed to the community of industry leaders that are devoted to helping the emergence of young professionals. Within four years of volunteering for MPI, he has acquired the necessary connections, leadership qualities and experience that set him up for success in the industry. With the support of mentors and colleagues, Zaman has been able to create new initiatives regarding student engagement and support industry causes such as human trafficking and sexual harassment prevention.
Zaman has worked as a planner and supplier; planning Orientation Week for 2,500+ students, planning international education conferences for 350+ professionals and executing 500+ BEO’s in a luxury property. He continues to elevate his meetings and events by utilizing his Certified Event Designer designation while creating memorable experiences for his conference attendees. He is currently on MPI’s Canadian Advisory Council and is working to showcase the value of meetings in Canada!
