At the time she won her Hall of Fame Award, Marsha was president of The Spot Inc. Today she is offering sales and event service to client that need assistance in these areas. Her clients as of today are Fogo Island Inn Newfoundland, and MIL a DMC in Italy.
Marsha was the founder of MCC Planners Inc, a meeting, special events and destination management company from 1988 to 2008. She sold the company after 20 successful years. Since then she has worked on many contract positions with in the MICE market.
In fact, Marsha has held positions on local, national and international levels for MPI, SITE, CHMSE, Tourism Toronto and BizBash Toronto. As a result of her work with clients and in the industry, she has received many accolades and much recognition. Marsha has been profiled in The Financial Post as part of a supplement highlighting the meeting industry. Her business savvy has resulted in a successful business that was profiled by CBC’s Venture. She is often sought after for leading sessions with Incentive Works, MPI, CTO and more.
As a result of her extensive knowledge and experience, she has been a past nominee for MPI Marion N. Kershner Memorial Chapter Leader Award as well as having received honors as Toronto Chapter Supplier (1990), Planner (1998) and Volunteer (2002) of the Year and Inaugural M&IT Hall of Fame Award for Industry Volunteer 2009.
