Co-Instructor of Essentials of Event Management, Ryerson University
Judy says that mentoring has truly been the gift that keeps on giving because “once you’ve made a connection you typically keep that connection for years to come.” After 15 years working as a meeting planner, she became an instructor at Ryerson University in 2005, where teaching a new generation of planners led to unpaid one-on-one and group mentoring. In eight years at the school, she has offered advice, opened doors, assisted in job searches, shared insights and experiences, and discussed next steps with countless young people. As she says, “those that I’ve mentored know I’m always a phone call or email away.”
