Angie has been employed with Investors Group for 29 years working in the meeting professional industry for the past 22 years. Investors Group is Canada’s national leader in delivering personalized financial solutions, managing approximately $90 billion in assets.
Angie is currently responsible for the development and execution of corporate conferences for the 4600 person consultant network, in addition to the management of Corporate Travel. Her primary focus is working with Senior Sales Management to ensure an integrated and strategic approach to identifying and communicating the corporate objectives and evolution of the industry through conferences and events.
As part of her mandate to deliver strategic events, she is responsible for facilitating the briefings with the executives to develop a communication plan that clearly identifies the conference goals, objectives and key messages. Working with internal business units and strategic partners, she is accountable for identifying and developing the business content, measures of success and delivering a financial return on investment for all corporate conferences and incentives.
In addition to the strategic meetings management responsibility, Angie also is accountable for corporate travel through a multi company platform for sister companies in the insurance and financial business. This includes management of the travel program, card program, travel reporting, preferred hotel and air partnerships and risk management resulting in economical benefits for all sister companies as a result of a consolidated multi company program.
Angie has been an active member of MPI since 1994, serving and chairing the corporate circle of excellence and holding a position on the MPI Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She is a past Chairwoman of the MPI Board of Directors for 2007/08. She is also on the board of Winnipeg’s Downtown Biz and an Executive Committee member. Her formal education background includes Public Relations, Communications and Business Management.
