MPAHT (Meeting Professionals Against Human Trafficking) is just one of many organizations, large and small, that are bringing awareness and “what to do about it”, whether that something is in the RFP or in the training of venues, suppliers or in the laws being creating.
In this session, we will bring together up to 5 different groups who will tell their stories. We believe storytelling has a large impact on people to understand they too can do something.
Each story will have a different mission. After all stories have been told, we will circle back and see how each group is doing something that completes the picture of defeating human slavery. Bring your questions, bring your desire to create awareness and actions to stop human slavery in the hospitality profession.
Led by Sandy Biback, CMP Emeritus, CMM, founder of MPAHT and Tania Ferlin of Hyatt Regency Toronto and a passionate member of MPAHT. We will tell MPAHT’s story.
MPHAT is a grassroots organization formed by a group of dedicated conference/event planners, hotel sales professionals and audio visual professionals who are raising awareness about human trafficking.
At the show, you can learn more about what you can do at the MPHAT session “Human Trafficking, and What the Hospitality Industry is Doing to Mobilize” or visit the MPHAT booth 842 on the show floor.
Your efforts support outreach and education to end human trafficking in the event industry and community at large. MPAHT aims to be a catalyst of change by providing educational presentations, collaborative forums between planners and suppliers and outreach with affected communities.
