Co-Presenters: Danielle Lamothe, CAE, CTDP, Vice President, Learning and Innovation, CSAE & Stephanie Lockhart, CMP, National Conference Producer, Canadian Society of Association Executives
The Canadian Society of Association Executives hosts an annual national conference that gathers association leaders from across the country. After more than 35 years, long-standing participants had certain expectations, but newer members and attendees wanted a stronger value proposition. Armed with data from a new member survey and years of participant feedback, we approached planning for the 2018 CSAE National Conference with an open mind and an appetite for change. As improvement is a continual process, the evolution of these changes continues into the planning of the 2019 conference. Find out what worked and what could have gone better in 2018, and what additional changes we’re committed to making going forward. We hope you’ll be able to take away some of our successes to introduce into the association conferences you’re planning.
Participants in this session will:
- Explore how we build our education program using a competency framework and introducing a mix of learning formats
- Delve into how we are rethinking sponsorship and exhibit opportunities
- Get an insider look at our planning and execution strategies
- Gain insight from our mistakes and successes and share some of yours!
